Designing the Inside of Your Home to Tell Your Story

Interior Designer, Canyon Lake

Interior design for Canyon Lake homes — lake houses, hillside views, and weekend retreats.

Designing in Canyon Lake

Designing for Canyon Lake views and weekend living

Almost every good Canyon Lake house is organized around a view, and the interior's first job is to not compete with it. That usually means quieter walls, lower-profile furniture in the sight lines, and color and pattern saved for the places where they add depth rather than distraction.

The second job is durability. Lake houses host people — often a lot of them, often at once — so we choose materials that shrug off wet feet and sunscreen, and layouts that let a crowd spread out comfortably. The result should feel like a retreat you can actually relax in, not a house you spend the weekend protecting.

Designing for the view at Canyon Lake

Canyon Lake properties are usually bought for one reason - the water and the hills - and the interior either supports that or fights it. Many homes step down a slope, which means the main living level often sits above grade with the best glazing oriented toward the lake.

The design question is restraint. Furniture arrangements that put backs to the view, busy patterns that compete with what is outside the glass, or heavy window treatments that block it all undercut the reason the house exists. Seasonal and weekend occupancy also argues for low-maintenance surfaces and layouts that accommodate visiting groups.

Our work may be upscale, but our process is pleasantly down-to-earth.

Our Process

Five refined steps

  1. 01

    Step 1 — Discovery

We can chat on the phone for free about your design project. We'll talk about what you want to achieve and see if we're a good match! If you like, you can choose to meet us in person for the design session. We'll talk about money, design stuff, what you like, and what you need, so we can make a unique plan just for you.

  2. 02

    Step 2 — Concept

After approving our design plan, we'll set up a time to measure and take pictures of your space(s) to start planning your project.

  3. 03

    Step 3 — Present

Now, let's make the real magic happen! We'll craft special Design Ideas, Floor Sketches, Detailed Lists of Products, and 3D Pictures so you can see and understand our ideas completely. We'll show you our designs, along with samples of materials, so you can touch and see the finishes in person. Then, all you have to do is say "yes" or "no" to the products we've chosen!

  4. 04

    Step 4 — Produce

Once we finish the design and you say yes to everything, we handle ordering and making sure everything gets where it needs to go. You don't have to stress about all the tricky details - we've got it covered. It's as easy as that!

  5. 05

    Step 5 — Enjoy

After all your things are sent and reach our warehouse or we can deliver directly to your home, we'll set up a day to install everything in your home. We'll arrange the furniture, put up artwork, add accessories, and take photos of the finished rooms. Your fully designed home is good to go! Now you can kick back, relax, and enjoy it. Cheers!

Yes — it's a specialty. We design short-term rentals to photograph well, hold up to real guests, and earn better reviews and nightly rates. That includes design plans, 3D renderings, furniture layouts, amenity planning, and full turnkey installation if you want it handled end to end.
